The Challenge
Managing a modern ranch involves coordinating livestock health, inventory, staff, finances, and operational requests across multiple people. Most ranches still rely on fragmented records, manual reporting, and paper-based processes, making it difficult to monitor animal welfare, prevent stock shortages, or maintain accountability across daily operations.
The challenge was to design a centralized platform that enables ranch managers to oversee every aspect of their ranch from a single dashboard while giving veterinarians, workers, storekeepers, and managers role-specific tools to perform their responsibilities efficiently.

I designed SmartRUGA, a comprehensive livestock management platform that digitizes ranch operations through real-time monitoring, workflow automation, and centralized record management.
The platform combines livestock tracking, inventory management, analytics, staff management, approval workflows, and health monitoring into one intuitive system. By structuring the experience around the daily responsibilities of different user roles, SmartRUGA helps ranch owners make faster decisions while improving operational transparency and animal welfare.
